Returns Policy

At River and Sage, our customers are our priority. We want you to know that if your items don’t fit, they can be happily returned without any hassles. If you receive an item that is faulty or significantly different to that being displayed, you may return it to us for a refund or exchange, subject to our current return policy conditions set out below:

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 14 day money-back guarantee from the time you receive the goods.

You must provide written contact within 7 days of receipt of goods to exercise this refund/exchange policy. Please email us at within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems.


The conditions of providing a refund or credit are that:

the goods are returned within 7 days of the original purchase date. Returns outside these time frames may be accepted providing contact has been made with River and Sage via email or phone.

proof of purchase, in the form of the receipt or invoice; and

the items are in their original condition,: all tags are still intact;

the items are in their original packaging; and

the items have not been worn, altered, damaged or washed (this includes shoes returned with sole markings or scratches).

Please note; we do not refund if you just change your mind.

All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via registered post and that you pre pay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit & therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. River and Sage will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.



If you are exchanging an item, it will be shipped to you via standard ground delivery. We will process the shipment within 48 hours of receiving your return. If you need expedited shipping, let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure you receive your item when you need it. If you would like to order additional items, we can provide you with Store Credit and you can proceed to purchase the additional products.

  2. Once we receive your return an exchange will be processed within 48 hours. As River and Sage items are made with limited numbers available, please note your first choice may not be available for exchange, but may be available in a different colour or style. We strongly recommend you contact us as soon possible to discuss your desire for exchange.
